Valentine’s Day crafts for preschoolers are a fun opportunity for them to make something special for their friends and family, while also helping to develop their fine motor skills. Here is a free printable template of 2 adorable blank Valentine “letters” for your child to cut out and color (for more cutting practice, check out our line cutting scissors skills worksheet and our simple shapes worksheet). They’re complete with little stamps and cancel marks.

Ideas for decorating these Valentines:
These cards are best when printed onto colorful cardstock (construction paper works too!), as it will be the easiest for your child to hold on to and cut. Once cut, they can color them and decorate as they wish. Pull out the stickers and the glue and fun little paper scraps and let them have fun creating.
They’ll be so excited to show their family and friends what they’ve made for them.

(After my preschooler finished decorating his Valentines, he wanted to cut out more and more of the letter templates. He kept delivering mail to us all over the house throughout the day 🙂
Besides Valentine’s Day crafts for preschoolers, what else can these printables be used for?
The templates are also great for imaginative play for anywhere letters can be used, such as to pretend they’re at the post office, delivering mail, or practicing writing names to “address” the letters.
They can also be used as actual postcards that kids can have fun mailing to friends or relatives. Simply decorate the back side of the card and address/ stamp it as you would with any other postcard.
