Twin peaks sign

When I was in middle school, my friends and I were obsessed with Twin Peaks.  We’d get together to watch the show and make little cherry pies using those little sponge cake cups you find at the grocery store and pie filling (they weren’t very good), buy any merch that came out (the Cooper tapes, Laura Palmer’s diary), and I’m pretty sure that’s when I started drinking coffee.  But the thing I really loved about the show (besides the story and overall weirdness) was all the amazing clothing!  Audrey had the best wardrobe around – who even knew saddle shoes could actually look cool?

When I heard they were coming out with a new season, I went back and watched the original episodes again, and it’s still so good.  However, this time around, instead of making little pies, it’s making me want to make knitwear 😀

Check out some of the great patterns I found:

Great Northern is a collection of patterns inspired by Twin Peaks– I like the From Another Place, Lonely Souls, and Filled with Secrets sweaters the best.

These Black Lodge Mitts will keep you hands warm when you’re hanging out in the woods.

A pair of Damn Fine mittens show your love of coffee and pie.

A log pillow.  No explanation necessary.  (This pattern is crochet, btw, so I can’t make it, but you should!)

And finally, this isn’t a pattern, but something just as good – someone ranked all 117 sweaters worn on the show 😀

Now go have a cup of damn fine coffee and get those needles moving.
