I printed the tags on brown craft cardstock, but you can play around with using a colored paper that will compliment your knitted item. I also reused the boxes from a Birchbox subscription, and they were just the right size for this cozy red hat.

Here is an example of the tag in white:

Or you could also add an additional sheet of fun patterned scrapbook paper underneath the tag (use a little glue stick or double sided tape to keep things from shifting) like this to create a coordinating border:

Look how these different patterns of scrapbook paper gives the hand knit with love gift tag a totally different feel, so you can really customize your gift:

On the back of the tag is a place to hand write any special care instructions for your gift. (Note: the file is a non-editable pdf, you won’t be able to type in the care instructions):

I found this decorative masking tape in the scrapbook aisle at the craft store.  The vintage stamped feel seemed perfect for my handmade gift.

*Please note, the tags are not editable, and are for personal, non-commercial use only. Thanks!

I recommend using Google Chrome as your browser to open the file.

Hope you enjoy it!

    • Hi- I think the problem is most likely your browser. I haven't had any trouble opening the file in Chrome or Firefox. I tried opening the file in Internet Explorer and it seems to just stop loading.

If you still can't open it, just let me know and I can send you the file as a regular attachment.

      Thanks!

    • Thanks! Once you get the hang of knitting, you'll love it. If you want to speed up your learning, try taking a lesson at your local yarn shop. Or if you are making something and get stuck, you can usually just bring the project to the shop and ask someone 🙂

    • Hi Nikki!

They are actually recycled Birchboxes 🙂 https://www.birchbox.com/ I think they were going to start selling just the boxes bc everyone loved them so much, but I'm not sure if they still do since I'm no longer a subscriber. People sometimes sell them on ebay too.
