Looking for some fun Christmas crafts for kids using paper? We’ve got some festive, free printable holiday bookmarks for your little ones to cut and color. Gather some new books to read and you’ve got the perfect cozy afternoon.

I love when everything in the stores change over to the different holidays, especially the bookstores (and libraries!). My big kids always gravitated to the cute displays and my little one is the same. He wants to read them all, and he’s always up for a seasonal craft, like these simple bookmarks.
Need more Christmas activities? This no-cook gingerbread playdough is another fun sensory activity. Your child will love the delicious scent while they play.
How to use this Christmas bookmark printable:
- To create your bookmarks, you’ll need our free printable template. Just click on the link toward the bottom of this page and print out. These bookmarks work best when printed on a heavyweight paper or cardstock. Be sure the printer is set to default or fit to page.
- Color in the bookmarks using crayons/ markers/ colored pencil. Add stickers or glitter/ glue if you wish
- Once they’re all colored and decorated, your child can cut out their bookmarks using scissors ( we love any reason to practice scissor skills)
- Optional: Punch a hole in the top of the bookmark Add a tassel to the bookmark to make it extra special. Preschoolers can string small beads onto a piece of ribbon or yarn, tie it at the end, and attach to the top.
Don’t forget once you’re done using these bookmarks, you can recycle them or cut them up into pieces and add them to new art projects!
