I’m super excited to finally show you what I’ve been working on lately. I made a new collection of six digital prints inspired by Schitt’s Creek and David Rose’s iconic sweaters! If you don’t know who David Rose is or what the deal is with his sweaters, you need to watch Schitt’s Creek NOW. It’s my new favorite show. During this crazy year, it’s so refreshing to watch a show about a loving family and a great love story. There is zero negativity or mean spiritedness.
After starting to watch it several times and not getting into it, I skipped right to season 2, and then just watched the entire series obsessively. Despite the title (I assumed there would be tons of crude humor but it’s the complete opposite), it is a BEAUTIFUL show with all the feels. You will laugh and cry and be in awe of the fashion. Hence, David’s sweaters. They are bold and graphic, always black and white, and just an amazing collection.
Anyway, I knew I wanted to make something that captured the feeling of the sweaters but in a subtle way, and created the collection so it would work individually or in multiples.
They are available in my Etsy shop as 8×10 digital downloads. You can print them at home or your local print shop or online printing service. Great gift idea for those Schitt’s Creek fans in your life.
If printing at home, for best results be sure to use a high quality paper. I used Canon Pro Lustre, which I love for printing photos and posters.
New prints inspired by David Rose’s iconic sweaters on Schitt’s Creek:
If these prints aren’t your style, this Celebrate the Victories print seems extra relevant this year. There are also a couple Schitt’s creek inspired mugs in the shop if prints aren’t your thing: Awards is my favorite season and Disgruntled Pelican!
Are you a fan of the show? What are some of your favorite moments?
